We provides coaching services for military, veterans
and their family members. An experiential learning component is
incorporated in all services so that the warrior’s mind, body and spirit are
included in the skill development and coaching process. An experiential
learning component known as Equine Assisted Coaching (EAC) is the cornerstone
of Troops For Life, Inc.’s primary program – the Life Nav program.
The Life Nav™ program, an abbreviation for
“Life Navigation”, is experiential in nature, which means the life skills
development comes from a memorable experience involving mental, emotional,
physical and sometimes spiritual stimulus. This is achieved by using Equine
Assisted Coaching (EAC), an innovative and highly effective modality in which
assigned tasks that require relating to horses creates scenarios that
metaphorically parallel experiences clients have in life outside of the equine
arena. Those metaphors are used as a powerful and effective way to work through
uncontrolled emotions or even unwanted physical reactions in a safe and
supportive environment. All activities take place on the ground where horses
and humans are on the same level and able to make individual choices. The human takes on a controlling position when engaged in riding activities, which are not included in this program.
